Alvin "Biggy Al" Howard Co-leader
Starting off in the karaoke circuit in Indianapolis, I began singing with a group called "Kenny Dodson & The Sensation." I went on to win first place in local singing competitions including the Marion County Fair, "Best Male Vocalist" July 27, 2010, and the Coors Light Country Concert Competition. Although I had an uncle, Robert Mayes, who was nominated for a Grammy Award for Gospel music with Albertina Walker, and plyed for such stars as Diana Ross, Patty Labelle, Donny Hathaway, and Roberta Flack. My mother and aunts also sang gospel music, and I have 2 cousins who sang and designed clothes for Whitney Houston, Glenn Jones, Cedric The Entertainer, Will Smith and Jada Pinckett Smith also, but I wasn't interested in singing because of shyness, which was later overcome by karaoke, and people continually complimenting me on the quality of my singing voice. So I want everyone to know it's never too late to realize a dream and do what you really loveto do. I attended college at both Illinois State University, and Grace College & Theological Seminary, where I was able to earn an Associate of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business/ Organizational Management.

The Upsetters Band is owned and operated in Indianapolis, IN. Other bands may offer similar services, but our services are the best, and come with a personal touch. The Upsetters Band has a long history of success and good music. Originally founded by a man named Billy Ball, who was a successful band-leader, in that many of his members went on to bigger and better careers like Reggie Griffin who played with the Isley Brothers and Chaka Khan, and of course the most famous, Kenny "Baby Face" Edmonds, who was a member when many of the Upsetters were calling themselves "Manchild." The band continues today with quality musicians, songs and over-all sound. Billy Ball has passed on but his legacy will continue with music that is both motivating as well as captivating. It is a personal belief that if we can't get you to dance, no one can.
Committed to helping our customers enjoy not only the music, but the entire atmosphere. We want you to feel like family.
